In order to decrease the space between words, you can either change the inter word space/stretch. Rotate headline text 180° to work with abstract shapes instead. Squint your eyes to blur the letterforms and focus on the shapes and the negative space between them. More specifically, the following dimensions may be set for a font: Try to balance the space between letters optically. From the 'Line spacing' drop-down list, choose the spacing you would like Word to use. From the Indents and Spacing tab > Locate the 'Spacing' section. In the lower-right corner of the 'Paragraph' group, click the arrow. To change the default line spacing: Click the Home tab > Locate the 'Paragraph' group. I tried using line spacing in the paragraph format option but that made no difference. There are a number of factors involved in font spacing, including inter word spacing, inter character spacing, inter word stretch, etc. So I am fairly new to LibreOffice and would like to know how to reduce the gap between the bottom of one line and the top of the next.
